About Us
We offer personalised advice on IR-related matters with a focus on employees' rights, psychological safety, and humanity.
Our Purpose
Labour IR Consulting was established in response to a growing need for clear, reliable, and employee-focused advisory services. Many employees encounter workplace challenges without sufficient understanding of their rights, responsibilities, or the processes available to them under labour legislation.
We address this gap by providing structured, professional, and accessible labour and industrial relations guidance. Our purpose is to support employees in navigating complex workplace matters with clarity, confidence, and insight.

This human-centred approach fosters trust and supports constructive outcomes. Through it, employees can engage effectively and confidently in workplace and industrial relations processes.

Our Background
We bring over 20 years of experience in Human Resources, with a strong foundation in labour and industrial relations. This experience was developed within established corporate environments, providing us with a clear understanding of organisational structures, employment legislation, and complex workplace processes.
Over time, our work in labour-related matters shaped a clear focus on industrial relations and employee support. We identified the need for guidance that helps employees understand their rights and navigate workplace processes with confidence and clarity. This understanding led to the establishment of Labour IR Consulting as a structured, ethical, and employee-focused advisory practice.
Our approach is human-centred and grounded in professionalism. We recognise that labour and industrial relations matters directly affect livelihoods and wellbeing. Every engagement is therefore handled with respect, discretion, and careful consideration of each client’s circumstances.
By combining technical expertise with clear communication and supportive guidance, we provide advice that is both legally sound and practically relevant. This approach builds trust, supports informed decision-making, and encourages fair and constructive outcomes in the workplace.
How We Work
1. Initial Contact
The employee, or client, contacts us via phone, email, or online enquiry. During the initial contact, we gather basic information to understand the nature of the concern and determine how we can assist.
2. Consultation Appointment
We schedule a virtual or in-person consultation, during which we listen carefully and review the relevant facts and documents. We also clarify the client’s rights, obligations, and available options under the applicable labour laws.
3. Rights & Options Advisory
We provide clear, practical advice on the client’s labour rights, possible courses of action, risks, and expected outcomes, tailored to the client’s specific situation.
4. Recommended Action Plan
Based on the consultation, we outline recommended next steps, which may include internal resolution strategies, formal dispute processes, referrals, or ongoing advisory support.
5. Client Decision & Support
The client decides how to proceed, and where required, we provide continued assistance, representation guidance, or preparation for disciplinary or dispute resolution processes.
6. Follow-Up
We remain available for follow-up consultations, clarification, or ongoing support to ensure the client feels informed and confident throughout the process.
We Support Employees Who:
- are facing disciplinary action or workplace disputes
- are unsure whether treatment at work is fair
- need clarity on labour processes or CCMA matters
- value ethical, respectful engagement.
